"A Blind-Sighted Approach."

“…. Was blind but now I see.” In God’s sovereignty, there are things we know to be true, but He hasn’t totally revealed the whole picture or the sight of those things yet. We know that air exists because we feel the wind blow and because we have what our lungs need for survival. We can get sunburned from overexposure to UV rays, but we don’t see or even feel the heat when the damage is done to our skin. We may not see all the factors contributing to a robust or failing economy, but we feel the effects of either. By design, we were not given control of everything, but we were given the tools to generate a response.

When a doctor walks into a patient’s examination room, they must assess what the patient tells them, what symptoms are present, and what resources are available to make the best change plan. Similarly, technology has evolved in agriculture, allowing us to sense more symptoms of how crops feel and respond to their environment. We have cameras that can detect heat signatures, and we have cameras that can sense how well a plant is processing its available nutrients. We have equipment that can place the exact amount of product in the place it needs to go. And we have labs to run analyses to see what is missing or available in the chemistry we are working with.

Our mindset at SouthGen in our heart and services is just this - Assess the whole picture of what’s going on and then decide if a change needs to be made. If so, make a calculated change. We will handle using sophisticated tools, images, and technology so that you can do what you do better…. FARM!  Our solutions to enhanced farm management aren’t as foreign as they seem. Every acre counts, and every acre is NOT the same. So why treat it the same? It’s relatively simple. Place the right product in the right amount, at the right place, at the right time. It’s a wholesome theory - not a one-time fix. You cannot “train up a child in the way they should go” in one night or one year.  We can’t control everything, but we must do better with what we can control! We shouldn’t think we cannot afford to do things differently because the past may say we cannot afford to do things the same way we have been! Give us a call. We would love to hear from you!
